Remember:
1.
Do
NOT use SCA names on envelopes; use only modern names. Print or write clearly – no
calligraphy!
2.
Kingdom
officers are listed in the Kingdom Newsletter.
3.
Use
standard size envelopes whenever possible (#10 long in convenient). Don’t incur the extra expense of mailing a
5X7 or 9X12 envelope unless absolutely necessary.
4.
Mail
your reports so that they will be received on the or close to the due
date. This will mean planning
ahead: gathering information, writing
the report, and allowing time for delivery.
(This is especially true if you mail must cross the US/Canadian border).
5.
Do
not send a report by Express Mail, Federal Express, etc. This is expensive. If your report will be more than a few days late, telephone (or
e-mail) the Kingdom MOAS and let them know.
6.
This
form is available on-line (WORD).
1.
We hold calligraphy and illumination classes at our bi-weekly
meetings. Lord Ronald Aris was able to encourage most of the Shire to work
and produce about a dozen scroll blanks for Royalty.
2. There are some
costumers who meet at Roberta di Mackie’s home on Tuesday evenings, I believe
about 3 or 4 people show up on a regular basis. During this reporting period a fledging music group got
underway—vocal and instrumental—which specializes in the music of the High
Middle Ages.
3.
Roberta di Mackie made a coathardie for herself as well as a t-tunic for
a newbie friend of hers.
Rebecca bat Levi researched and made 13th century garb for
her Iberian Jewish persona, she is planning on entering it A&S.
William Wallace made Scottish tunic and trews for himself.
As part of his role as Kingdom Signet Lord Ronald Aris calliged and illuminated about 15 award
scrolls as well finagled a number of rudimentary scroll blanks by shire members. He is trying to convince someone to buy a
calf with him so he can research and create period vellum.
I researched period Provencal music, and organized Les Trouveres (above
music group), singers include THL Eleanor, Marie de Champagne, William Wallace
and Giacomo di Mangnifico. Giacomo and
I provide instrumental accompiament.
4.
Are you aware of anyone IN-Kingdom who has access to period or
period-style instruments?? I found a
source but they are located in France.
